Did you know that the little state of Wyoming is home to an Intergalactic Spaceport?

In the spring of 1993 astronomers discovered a broken-up comet on a path of collision with the gas giant Jupiter. At the time this discovery garnered a lot of interest in the scientific community, but as there was no evidence of life on the big red planet the collision didn’t seem to pose a large threat.

However, never underestimate the great State of Wyoming. As this knowledge came to the realization of the City of Green River the city planners became concerned for any Jupiter residents that may need a place to go if there home planet was in a state of distress or even destroyed.

The city of Green River jumped to the aliens aid and were ready and willing to provide not only a landing strip, but a place of refuge for any aliens that made it off the planet safely before the planet was hit by the errant fragments of the comet. In 1994 the City officially renamed their 5,000 foot landing strip the “Greater Green River Intergalactic Spaceport” with arms wide open and ready to welcome the extraterrestrial immigrants. The spaceport was even made official and given approval from the FAA. As far as we know there have been no reported UFO landings on this strip of ground. However, we are happy to know that should any alien need a parking space, WY is ready to provide.
